Take a “chance” on the “Country Style” Short Story Competition

Country Style magazine, which “celebrates the diversity of modern Australian living – from the country to the coast” has launched its annual Short Story Competition, with ‘chance’ as this year’s theme.

It is proving to be very popular. And it’s no wonder – with $5000 cash up for grabs and a chance to see your story in print, why wouldn’t you enter?

This year’s competition is for short stories up to 1500 words long. You can refer to the theme of ‘chance’ as directly or obliquely as you like, but make sure it’s there in your story. Entries will be judged by Country Style editor Victoria Carey, author and poet Cate Kennedy and a representative from Allen & Unwin.

The competition closes on Friday 26 April 2013. For more details check out the conditions of entry here or visit the Country Style Facebook page.
